I love you, bunny.
Occam’s fluffy razor.
Extreme brutalism in Collado Villalba,Madrid.
It looks to me like the building was made too brutal and now has lost its self control, projecting outward waves of brutality that break up the clouds and sky, squeezing them, trying to force them into cubic spaces so that the brutality may be at peace.
But the brutality can never be at peace - how then could it be brutal? So it would simply be accumulating energy from the brutalized cloud and sky, awaiting its assault upon moon and sun.
I am that brutality, I who ponder cloud and sky, and moon and sun, and smile.
So…
I open my browser and there’s this.
Contest time: can you name any other entity on the planet that could criticize the NSA for overreaching in its surveillance activities, and it would also sound ironic?
I drew a blank.
(If you missed the story, as I did initially, Google was caught stealing personal data from wireless networks with its mapping cars.)
1974 Bricklin SV-1
Virtually unknown in popular culture, the gullwinged, Canadian made Bricklin SV-1, unreliable engine(s), leaky hydraulics and all, is most clearly distinguished by its rabidly loyal fanbase. Despite no more than 2900 having ever been made, it is still relatively easy to pick one up in good shape today, although I wouldn’t advise it unless you’re willing to spend a lot of time communicating with fellow owners… about the unreliable engine, leaky hydraulics and all.
The Cold Wind blows Korean Streets (by Queen Horsfall)

Sometimes it just happens. Here we see the artist, who has put together her fashion commentary from the Korean street scene, in her wordless simultaneous dialogue with both the artist, who has focussed precisely on the model yet framed almost as if she were not there, and us, the artists for whose review she subjects her work.
I find my eyes working relentlesly on the many points of interest, then trying to expand and grasp the entirety of it, finding in the totality an art probably never intended in any of the elements.
Or, perhaps… this is the moment she has been hoping for all along.
Either way, I am glad for it.
The biggest problem that I had with Transmedia is that anytime I attempted to understand it, I could find no way to distinguish it from… well, from communications in general, really. It felt like a staged scene, where someone had picked the name and an assortment of venues, and spread the word, without any particular artistic vision. This could, of course, all be perceptual problems on my part, because I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen anything that was intended to be Transmedia, only that which was about Transmedia.
Maybe they would have had better luck just folding the whole damn thing inward and telling stories about how they might tell stories, this time without slideshow presentations, or, as I call them, e-filmstrips, and which I consider to be the bane of effective communication in the digital age. It’s not that slideshows can’t carry information, but that they exist almost exclusively in presentation contexts, both technical and social, that place almost insurmountable barriers to the inclusion of anything other than a slide, which precludes some of our most effective modes of communications.
So… I hope TransMultiMedia (TMM) ™ fares better. Wait… did I just invent it?
